Hello, I want to make a decent music video for a friend of mine and I was wondering what basics I would need. I’m talking about what I should know to write, direct, and film a short movie.
Any suggestions, link to good articles on Internet and such are welcome.

Current skills:
mad computer skills, good video editing skills, photography basics, a good amount of creativity

If you are making a music video, then you probably already have the song and the music, so the video should frame and compliment the song and its meaning. Read the lyrics of the song, and try and find either explicitly or implicitly expressed symbolic mirrors to those lyrics.
