Q&A: What’s this college-based movie?

Question by Ryan: What’s this college-based movie?
I saw a movie a while back, it was relatively old. It took place definitely not in the 2000’s, probably not 90’s, at the least 60’s but I kinda doubt that too. 70’s – 80’s seem to be logical.

The movie is about a kid who moves into a new college, and his roommate is kind’ve a jerk at first, making him take all his clothes off and then locking all the doors so he can’t get in.
The next day, the kid pretends to run away crying at lunch and the guy goes to check and sees a dummy of the kid being hanged and being blue from death. But it’s a dummy, so now that they’re even they begin being more friends etc.

A pinacle point in the movie is how the roommate says he has to get laid and doesn’t want him to come back until he does. So the kid goes out to a bar and after unsuccessful attempts he does find what would be called a cougar on modern standards. However it isn’t really a cougar, since he lies about his age. He sleeps with her and takes her panties for proof, and the roommate puts them on a moosehead. That’s about all I can recall from the movie.

If you think you know it, give it your best guess, thank you.
