warner bros sitting on script for excellent book nathan’s run by john gilstrap. urge all to contact WB?
Question by robertmcadams1: warner bros sitting on script for excellent book nathan’s run by john gilstrap. urge all to contact WB?
book by john gilstrap entitled nathan’s run was sold to warner bros for filming. WB put it in ‘turn around’ sort of a dead letter office, saying written script was no good. the author subsequently wrote a new script and WB again has decided just to sit on this excellent book. I urge all of you to contact warner bros and complain. If one consideres all the garbage they do release, one wonders why they couldn’t make a good film for a change. Nathan’s Run, a novel about a boy, stuck in reform school who is abused in school, then for money is to be murdered. instead he kills his assailant and excapes. An excellent book could be and excellent movie, as could the book Ender’s Game by Card, Billy by Streiber, Mystery Schooner by Roberts, Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by King, Swan Song by McCammon, Fairy Tale by Feist. So many excellent books, but, guess they don’t have the blood and gore that film makers seem to crave. Write and complain!
