Theory of Knowledge Presentation – Teen Dating
IB Theory of Knowledge presentation on the failure trends of teen dating. I believe we titled it “The Biological, Sociological, and Linguistic Explanations of the Failure of Teenage Relationships”. I’m not completely sure, to be quite honest. All the footage was shot in one day (which would explain my lack in wardrobe variation), with the exception of the classroom/hallway sequence. I spent over seven hours editing this sucker, namely because the software I’m using decided to act up on me. There were supposed to be some text graphics/sound effects/etc., but things just weren’t working out. For those of you using Sony Vegas 8, the program may: 1) Stop importing clips. 2) Freeze out of nowhere. 3) Crash sporadically. 4) Decide not to render. *NOTE: I found that changing the settings on your computer to only use two processors works to temporarily regain functionality. (Run → msconfig → Boot → Advanced options → Number of processors → 2 → Restart computer) Although this does not solve the problem completely, it’s useful if you’re in a time-crunch situation. So… after two freaking hours of technical difficulties (at 3 AM, mind you… [Hey! I should have the right to complain.]), I became quite frustrated and, in a sheer act of desperation, finished editing the video using Windows Live Movie Maker. (Different than Windows Movie Maker.)
