How do you get started on making a movie?

Question by NverSayNver: How do you get started on making a movie?
If you have your script and plan for the movie, where do you go to get started??? Is there a company writers go to??? do they pitch the idea tho someone??? I just want to know, I would love to know how many people started there ideas and turned into some of the greatest movies.

I suggest going to film school. There you’ll meet aspiring directors, editors, sound egineers….etc. The type of people that can help you make your movie.

Once your an established writer, then you can pitch your ideas to some influential movie producers or directors.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote Good Will Hunting a long time before it was actually made into a movie. They had to keep pitching there idea. The movie won 2 Oscars.
