The format they use now is 35 Millimeters, but if 70 Millimeters would be used it will be more realistic and it will take you totally to another world and inside the movie. It will be a very awesome experience. They have some atractions that use 70 Millimeters in some theme parks like disney, epcot center and universal. but I think they should make 70 Millimeters movie theaters already, the technology is already there.

The “golden age” of 70mm movies was from 1950-1970. Originally designed as one of the many ways movies tried to compete with television (which was the new kid on the block), 70mm movies were able to deliver superior picture and detail over the more standard 35mm movies.

However, the film and filming processes were more expensive to produce. Most producers began to consider how their movies were being shown on television, as well (these were the days before letterbox). 70mm movies are too wide for the screen if they’re not in letterbox, and require extra work to get their pictures onto the TV screen.

Cinema owners, as well, began to carve up their audience spaces so that they could present multiple movies in the same place. Gone are the days when a cinema only had one gigantic screen and offered only one movie at a time, as they could do with 70mm. In the contemporary eight-plex there is rarely room for a widescreen adventure.
