People with MacBooks, do you love them?

I really want a MacBook and I’m trying to convince my Mom to get me one as a birthday/Christmas present. My family has 2 Dell laptops (one Vista, one Windows 7) and they work just fine. Well, the Vista freezes up every 2 or 3 days. And the Windows 7 is my Mom’s which has no programs or games on it (other than the ones pre-installed), so we really don’t know how well it would work with some stuff on it.
I want a Mac because everyone says they’re better. I also like designing movies and editing photos, so I think a Mac would be good for me. About the music program, GarageBand looks really cool. I play electric guitar and am always asking for a new amp. I’ve read that the Mac can virtually be an amp, so I think it will benefit me well. I’ve never actually mixed music, so would a Mac be a good place to start?

I went to a movie making camp last summer, where we used MacBooks to edit our movies. I loved the software.

Also, is the word processing progam good or should I add iWork for $ 99? I usualy use Google Docs, but I’m just curious.

I just want your overall opinions on them, and if the programs are good.

omg okay you should get one! haha i tried to get my parents to get me one but they wouldnt 🙁 unfortunatly my dad hates macs 🙁 all my frieds have them though and i love them! you should deffinatly get one!
