How to convert a rar file?

Basically, I’m not THAT good at computers and all that, I know the basics so I was wondering if somebody could SIMPLY explain to me…

I have a 4 rar files and together they make a movie, basically I want to convert them into avi or mp4…(as I know how to further convert this for DVD use), so how do I do it?

a rar is like a zip u can use 7-zip.com to unrar it
