When Disturbed’s upcoming release, Asylum, hits the streets on August 31st, there will be something included that fans may not be accustomed to these days, a 75+ minute behind the scenes documentary that encompasses the band’s entire 10 year career. What’s so unique about that you might ask? The documentary will cost nothing, its simply a gift from the band to their fans as a thank you for their loyalty over the past decade. “We started thinking about this as a band last year when we started writing the record. We knew our 10 year anniversary was coming up and we really wanted to make a gesture to the fans that have supported us along the way”, explains lead singer David Draiman. “The trick was, how could we make this a gift and not charge the fans for it”. “Our ideal situation was to include a hard copy DVD with every CD purchased.
