MP3 Aztecs Project Download
I’ve always failed English and other classes of language. This reminds me of how I passed a 5 credit hour Spanish class when I was going to Long Beach City College, California.
Mrs. Hossells wanted us to prepare a show and tell for our final grade. 40% of the grade was our test and the other 40% was our final project; 20% towards class participation. The final project was a show and tell about something Spanish, rather it’s Spanish History related, Spain related, any Latin related countries, or Spanish or Hispanic cultures.
I decided to tell the story about the Aztec Indians and the Spaniards that conquered them. Now, I failed every single test in Spanish. That equals to 0%. At this point I was desperate.
I decided to produce a video/audio presentation using my experience and technique to WOO the professor. First, I ask the professor that as the students were coming to class, when she arrives, do not do anything. Just sit. The video will have pre-show music that will start at 6:46pm. The video will start automatically at 7:00pm. She said it was okay and went with it.
For four weeks, I produced a music track of my own, downloaded a lot of pictures and drawing of the Aztec art and historical drawings, and produced a video with the pictures and video I got my many different archives. I got a tutor to make sure I was good on my translations for my Spanish narrations. The end result is a video about the conquest of the Spaniards over the Aztec Indians with me narrating in Spanish.
On the day of the presentation, I rented nice big screen rear projection television, saved the video files and recorded it on professional video tape (Digital Betacam), and rented a surround sound system because the audio used all 5.1 channels of surround sound. The end result was a LOUD, big screen, movie documentary.
The class was thrown because they came to class with candles burning, incense that smelled like Aztec perfume, and a loud soundtrack that rivals THX and Dolby Digital. Needless to say, I got an A+ on the final presentation.
Test = 0%
Presentation = 50%
Participation = 17%
TOTAL = 67%
I fairly earned a good C in the class.
My math courses, no problems. Computer classes, programming languages, and video/audio classes, A+ all the way. Language classes, even English; like they say in the Army; NO GO! The above story is a story I always tell people on how I conquered Spanish. BUT, I did not learn a thing.
Unfortunately, the video is still on Digital Betacam and have not converted to a computer video format yet. Digital Betacam video transfers are expensive. The music sound is available for download if you are interested in downloading the MP3. It starts with the 15 minute intro and the rest is the background music behind my narration in Spanish.
The above graphic is a collage of two images, which color filters used in Photoshop.

How’d Eric Bledsoe Magically Get an A in That Algebra Night Class?
Eric Bledsoe: The former Kentucky guard – who was an NBA first round pick in June – barely qualified academically to play for the Wildcats. It appears an Algebra night class put him over the top. If Bledsoe had received a ‘B’ or ‘C’ in the class, he would not have qualified. The Birmingham News […]
