mugging at the zoo

another faux lomo, another shot from the zoo. I’m trying out a lomo script I found at registry.gimp.org by elsamuko.
First impressions with the script are that it’s pretty straight forward. You’ve got half a dozen sliders for various things such as saturation, sharpness… a dropdown for about a dozen color schemes (xpro LAB, vintage, movie…), and a few check box options. I bet I could really find something I’d be happy with eventually.
I might actually make this the method by which I do lomo edits… though, I’m about at the end of my run on that theme. What I want to do is disect the scripts, if I can, to see exactly what’s happening. That way I can either just manually do the things I like about it, or I can fine tune it for my preferences.
I did have one or two technical concerns, which are mostly issues with the computer I’m doing it on now. This thing takes quite a while to run sometimes, and the end result pushes the .xcf file I’m working on to about 1GB in size (it did for this photo, in any case)
