I’m 17 and I’m about to go to university soon. I’ve always been interested in making movies as a director, producer, or writer. My parents tell me that Engineering, Sciences, or Doctors earn a more stable salary. Well should I proceed with my dreams and end up poor, or do something I dislike and having a stable salary? What should I do? Also, it would be nice if someone could tell me the average salary of a successful Director…. THANK YOU
It would be helpful if you gave me something realistic not some “follow your dreams” counselor bullshit.

1. do you want to have a job that is misserable and an 8 hour day feels like 15
2. do you want to enjoy your life and have fun everyday and beable to show off your work
3. do you want to have a miserable day for 8-20 hours at work to come home and sleep in a lrger house that your barly ever in
4. if family/ general happynese comparable to money.
just ask your self question like this. and or make a pro/con chart. and see what your heart tells you
