hey, So I’m an audio engineer that works independently from my home studio. I recently thought, “hey i wonder if i can make enough money with this to quit my job” and I’m actually thinking maybe i can i just need some extra opinions and experience. Assuming i sign a good amount of musicians and take 90% from itunes album sales i did the math and could be making around $ 1,500 a month if i sold minimum 500 albums a month. Is this realistic? i definitely have the marketing tools. Secondly, im looking into doing tv show/movie soundtracks. anyone have ideas how to get into the industry? places to network and get noticed?

it’s realistic only if yo are lucky, get to a record producer in Los angeles area
