ive heard is close to impossible. 🙁 im in 9th grade and im really considering becoming a film director. im a really good photographer, and i love making movies and things on moviemaker. i know thats not alot, but im only 14. im planning on moving to california and go to college at cal. state when i turn 18. what are some tips to becoming a movie director?? thanks so much. No, its not hard. You need a camera, an idea and people to tell where to go and when. Shoot, 12 yr old boys did Raiders of the Lost Ark. Check out the link. Desire is the first step. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but I would have to question your desire. Why? Because if you truly had the necessary desire you would not be asking us this question. You would be finding a way to actually become a director. I know you are in the 9th grade, but I think you are old enough to get a straight answer bud. Don’t ask us, just go make a movie. Even if it is bad, it is the start of a learning process. You will get better over time. Read books on th subject. I bet there are directors’ blogs online. You can do this, but get off the computer and get into the game.
