Here are the classic slipups that people make:
1) LIGHTING.
Brighter lights give a better picture.
2) CAMERA MOVEMENT.
Zooming is a bad idea. Don’t do it.
Use a Tripod to keep your camera stable. Keep your camera very very stable whenever you’re doing a hand-held shot.
3) SOUND.
Most cameras accept a microphone input. Rent a good mic or two instead of using what’s built on the camera.
There are of course years worth of techniques to learn and master. This is a good place to start.
