I have adobe premiere pro 2.0 and a canon GL2. If you have the money, it will cost around $ 1850 total. I got my GL2 off of eBay, and it has tons of manual functions. I got premiere pro with a student discount, which cost around $ 350. HDV is also a good option if you aren’t looking for too many manual functions. The canon hv20 offers 24p recording for under $ 1000. Hope this helps!
