What is good Movie Making software?

Question by question: What is good Movie Making software?
I am trying to create a movie using a computer program. I like the Microsoft Movie Maker format but I am willing to change! I also do not like auto-make movie programs. Any suggestions?

http://www.jahshaka.org/ is free and very powerful. But, like most powerful software, there’s much more of a learning curve than with Windows Movie Maker. But those skills you will learn are invaluable.
