Is it possible to pitch a “one-sheet” and sell it as opposed to selling a full length screen play?
But isn’t it possible to sell the one-sheet and somebody else format the script around the idea that’s written down?

No it is not, because you just have a idea written done unless your movie is a second long.

No movie director, movie producer or movie studio will not pay for a idea, because it isn’t against the law to just steal the idea. When you pitch a movie most people have a outline of the charactors, the plot, scences, and ending. I can go to somebody and say I’m going to write a book on a plumber who is going to be a boxing champ. Somebody can take that idea and use it.
