‘The Social Network,’ 5 stars
David Fincher’s telling of how Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) created Facebook manages to make the story of an antisocial kid who changes how society operates – a story heavy on computer code and legal testimony – not just compelling but great. Kudos to Aaron Sorkin, as well, for the mile-a-minute script. (PG-13 – 120 minutes) P, S.

Fry announces new direction for U.
Drexel University’s annual Convocation ceremony was held Oct. 5 to celebrate the start of the 2010-2011 academic year. The event was also the first major appearance by Drexel’s 14th president, John Fry, two months into his tenure. The occasion began similarly to years past: the University’s professors marched, umbrellas in hand, into the Main Building behind their respective college banners.
