I’m doing a big research report/project at school on making claymation movies. I know the basics, but I also need to have an interview. If anybody knows of a professional clay animator who lives in the bay area, please respond. 🙂 thanks

The only two I can think of are Ray Harryhausen, who’s sadly died I believe, and Nick Park, creator of Wallace and Gromit, who works for Aardman animation in Bristol, UK.
It may be worth emailing Aardman and asking whether you could do a phone interview, perhaps?
