Question by $y$t3MoFaD0Wn: What do they call it when a video game quotes or makes fun of a movie?
I know timesplitters future perfect did it constantly by making fun of starship troopers, james bond, ect., I also noticed in the first modern warfare on the boat level in the beginning they were about to open the door to the lower levels when one of the guys pulled out a shotgun and said ” I keep this for close quarter situations” and the other guy said “heard that”, which is the same exact lines from Aliens (alien 2)

I know that references to literature is called “Alliteration”
It may or may not be applicable when referencing to a video game or movie… I think that’s the word though
