Question by rez242: any good books for kids/young teens on making their own home movies?
When I was a young teen, I had a colorful paperback book that was written for kids, and instructed them being creative with home video cameras. It was published in the early 1990’s I think.
It instructed kids on the basics of making fun little home movies. It had fun project ideas such as how to interview your little siblings and how to make rudimentary stop-frame animation videos. I’d like to find something like this to give to my niece but I can’t find my old copy.
Do you have any recommendations on similar books?

Well to be honest, I wouldn’t get them a book.. I’m a cinematographer in the film business, and when you get/read a book it will take away from your creative thought process. It’s not like math, or English. These days the less like other films they make, the better.
As long as they are having fun, that’s what matters..
If they are having issues with editing/shot composition, then I would goto: http://kidsvid.altec.org/making.html, and let them pick what they would like to learn..
Good luck, and if you kids have any questions, email me..
