Cool Movie Maker?

So i want to make videos for youtube but i also want to be able to edit them and make them look cool
However the only softwear i have on here is Windows Movie Maker, which is great but the videos from my camera dont seem to show up when i import the media and the ones from my webcam do
So i was wondering if u guys had any suggestions on a movie maker application that would work for my camera (which is a Finepix Z from Fujifilm)
preferably something free please

btw my comp is a laptop and its from acer i dont really know anything else about it other than its got windows vista on it

windows movie maker only supports .avi and .wmv i think, your vid is prob .MOV or something along thoes lines. You have to convert it from .MOV to .avi

or just download sony vegas, thats what i used to do when i made youtube vids.
