Question by Ron S: Steps to making a movie? A real Hollywood Movie?
Im just a rooke but i know my idea will touch the hearts of many people. I have a script ready but as a amateur i do not what to do with. Im a pretty sensible young boy with no connections in the industry but my idea will bring america to tears and i think such emotional movies are missing from hollywood. Do i contact a director first and give a presentaion about my vison or do i do auditions for the casting? I also do not know where the money and equipment will come from for the movie? Or do i contact a company ? I may not know my way around the industry but hopefully yahooers can help me because im just a normal human being trying to live out the dream just like the person next door. Im not going to give up because my goal is to come back after releasing the movie and reading this for laughs because they may very well be my foundation. So please help me with all the advise you can contribute?

Have you copyrighted your script? You need to copyright the script as well as register it with Writers Guild of America East.
Also, go to Google and type the question “steps to making a movie” – what you find will help you initially. Also you will need some real hands on information as to where to begin so I would suggest purchasing this e-book at: http://www.nobudgetfilmmaking.com
