A name question. If I sell a screenplay?
Question by Cristofora: A name question. If I sell a screenplay?
Okay. I have a little problem… I think. I write screenplays & stories and I hope to sell a script or a book 1 day. But the problem is my name. See I’m Italian/Sicilian, & I was born in Sicily before I moved to New York when I was 6. My names is Cristofora Moltisanti. T_T And the English version of my name is Christina Moltisanti and my family and friends call me Chris for short X(… Like Michael Imperioli’s character on the Sopranos Christopher Moltisanti. I know it’s strange, weird creepy, and maybe odd. But like I was saying. If I ever sold a script or a book, would my name be a problem? & I’m really not fond of pen-names, because I like my Italian name! If any1 could give me an answer to this, I would greatly appreciate it! Grazie!

Nope, not a problem unless you are in the writers guild (which you probably will be one day) and someone else in the guild has the same name down as you. If that is the case you can just add a middle initial, go by Chris, or Christina, whatever just to change it enough. Hope that helps!
