I am writing a screenplay, and do you think it is possible for me to ask the producer to use me as an actor in this screenplay–if it got sold?

one more detail: the role I am thinking about is NOT THE LEAD. but rather a supporting character

Not on here…seriously….talk to your agent(Get one) no one will look at an unknowns script.
most of those movie projects are union or screen guild…You won’t have much of a chance without an agent …..hundreds/thousands of people write scripts every day and only one may get green lighted… and there is so much you haven’t even thought of like sequels or merchandising…..bottom line get an agent.
