Addicted to a computer?
Question by Toony698: Addicted to a computer?
I don’t get it. I’m just so damned happy in my own company!!
I spend most of the day sat in my bedroom in front of a computer. Playing video games, watching movies, talk on facebook (when I choose to), replying to forum topics and making music… These are the things I enjoy doing
The only time I go out into the real world is if I need food or cigarettes. The only time I socialise is getting drunk on the weekends – otherwise I just don’t go out. I ignore telephone calls and texts and facebook messages virtually ALL the time… the only time I answer the phone is if I’m expecting a call… I hate unsolicited intrusions and I don’t like being stopped in the street and having a chat with friends that pass by.
I get bored very easily of socialising like normal people.. sitting down having a chat over a coffee etc
I’m not socially awkward or shy, make friends easily enough, I’m relatively good looking, I get hit on by girls, I’m fairly intelligent etc etc but my life revolves around my PC!
It does bother me and I WOULD like to be more social like I used to be!
Does anyone else have this problem?? Is there such a thing as being addicted to computers? Help!

Join the club, we have jackets. Why do you think social networking is so popular now? This is what people do now. Try doing something you can’t do similarly online. Coffee at home on a pc during a chat is probably close to the same as a coffee house. Try meeting friends at a football game or a sky diving trip.
