i have this idea of a movie that i think is a great one, but im wondering, for a job, is it for authors or screenwriters? because like R L Stine, first its books, then its television show, so, what way can i make a movie and what qualificatons does that take? and any good schooling?

You should have a background or experience in fiction/creative writing at the very least because knowing how to tell a good story is important.
When it comes to screenwriting, you need to have a decent grasp and understanding for dialog, as well as pacing for a movie.
You may want to pick up a book, a decent one I feel is Save the Cat by Blake Snyder, but there are lots out there to at least give you an idea.
