Behind the Scenes – VFX: How to Fall Under an SUV
Behind the scenes for our latest video ‘Roadkill’ WATCH IT HERE www.youtube.com For those that don’t know, this effect is based on one of Freddiew’s videos. I don’t claim to have ‘invented’ this effect or whatever. There isn’t a specific tutorial on how to do this effect and the reason for that is probably because it highly depends on your footage and the angle/lighting/other aspects. In our case, it was sunset and the camera angle was unplanned, resulting in more difficulty in compositing due to not only changing light conditions and shadows, but also a less-than-optimal angle. Like Freddiew said, rotoscope the two elements and animate a shadow. Add adjustment layers and stuff accordingly. Also, go for a high shutter speed to eliminate motion blur, which could make things harder to roto. ———————————————————————– TWITTER – twitter.com FACEBOOK – facebook.com ———————————————————————–
