Best Scene/Movie for Film Symbolism Paper?

Question by Iceburg: Best Scene/Movie for Film Symbolism Paper?
I need to write a paper about a scene from the film and how the symbolism and motifs are incorporated into the film making techniques. I originally wrote my paper on A Clockwork Orange and discussed the symbolism, however, I got a terrible grade on it because I did not relate it to the film making such as camera work and editing.

For example. In the film Night of the Hunter, the priest has the word LOVE tattooed on his left hand and HATE on his right. Anytime he walks into frame, he is walking or moving towards the right side, to suggest that he is always moving towards hate.

If someone could provide me with a film and scene (I will search for the symbolism myself, for that is the assignment) that would be greatly appreciated, for I am not sure which movie to do.
To the two answers below. Those are symbolic about the story. Thanks but I need film making symbolism like I mentioned in the example.

There’s the ending of “No Country For Old Men” which frustrated so many people. The sheriff is basically recalling a dream to his wife, and works as an underlying message about the changing world, AND implies to some that he actually died a scene earlier.

Then in “There Will Be Blood” the two main characters constantly clashing are an oilman and a preacher, and bluntly put, both are d*cks. Arguably some clear symbolism can be seen here.
