Question by JB: Can creating video tutorials be profitable?
In high school, I took a class that teaches students how to make quality movies using Adobe Premiere and After Effects. So with time, I can make a quality video. I am also very computer literate. Do you think if I made video tutorials for the new users looking to learn different types of software would be profitable? Some different examples of software I can teach is Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, General Computers (for those that have never used a computer before), Browsing the internet, etc. I am looking into ways I can create a business online. I am somewhat decent at HTML and am majoring currently in Graphic Design so building a website will be no problem. Also I would use E-bay to sell and Youtube for demos of my products. I need all the suggestions I can get. I would have to buy a headset and high quality webcam, and for onscreen I’d probably use fraps, or something of the like. Premiere to edit the video and AE to do special effects. Thanks.

It would be a good idea but unless you are selling it through a company on hard copy I doubt very much it would be a profitable exercise considering how easy it is to google “Free video tutorial”
If you do do one put it on Metacafe.com because they actually pay you if enough people download your clips
Apple do free Final Cut Pro tutorials instore and have a How to section on their site for iMovie08
