Does George Lucas and Steven Spielberg own the rights to this one till the day they die, or can someone else step in and make a proper Indiana Jones movie? Is Harrison Ford under contract to not make another one through another director. Spielberg and Lucas are pretty much washed up after this one. Disgraceful.

Actually, yes. Lucas owns all rights and properties to the character.

And before you go vindicating Ford, he was one of the main reasons it took 19 years to get the fourth one off the ground. He has script approval. So, if you were disappointed with the film, blame him as much as you would Spielberg and Lucas.
