Question by kylmell: Can you import videos filmed with the canon FS10 camera to Windows movie maker?
i have a canon FS10 camera. i am trying to make a movie with my videos on windows movie maker and/or windows live movie maker.
when i drag photos from my video library on windows live, the movie is moved but theres a red x in the middle of it. when i try to search for it, it doesn’t show up.
the same is for the regular windows movie maker, only that program wont allow me to drag the video i made with my canon FS10 camera.
please help me!

The Canon FS10 camcorder shoots footage as .mod video. However the Mod format can not be supported by Movie Maker.
The file formats accepetable by WMM:
Video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv
Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wma
Picture files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .wmf
So you need convert Mod to WMV/ASF/MPEG for Movie Maker.
