Question by : Canon Rebel T3i stops recording after 5 seconds?
I got an EOS Canon Rebel T3i 600D for my birthday five days ago. The pictures were GREAT and I love taking them! I film my horses and make YouTube videos for fun. So I decided to try it out and make a video. It turned out great except for being a little slow to process in Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 9.0.
Here is the video I made the second day of having the camera:
But I tried filming again a couple days later, and every time I tried it would film for about 5 seconds and then display the message “recording has been stopped automatically.”
I looked it up a lot on google and tried various websites, and most said I had it on the wrong setting or my SD card was out of memory or not compatible with the camera.
I have a 32GB ProMaster Secure Digital Memory Card with Professional High Speed. This was the card reccomended for this camera at the store where it was bought.
I made sure the”Video Snapshot” option was disabled and have yet to find anything in the manual about this problem.
Any advice would be very helpful!
Thank you. (:

Did you make sure the card was formatted in the camera you are using?
Honestly, I shoot for a living and would not trust promaster. I use sandsik and occasionally kingston class 10 cards. Promaster is a company that produces fairly inexpensive alternatives to brand name camera accessories. Chain camera stores like pushing them because they have high profit margin for them.
