Question by kevin z: cars the movie – Lightning McQueen – the real first rookie in history to win the piston cup?
In the movie, Lightning claims he will be “The first rookie in history to win a Piston Cup.” However, Doc, the 1951 Hudson Hornet, has the 1951, ’52, and ’53 Cups. Being made in 1951, wouldn’t that make 1951 his rookie year, therefore making him the first rookie ever to win the Piston Cup?
even, if he came out in july or august of ’50, the raceing season starts in february. so ’51 wouldve still been his rookie year
