When voicing him, Sakurai has in mind that his silence is more expressive than his dialogues and that due to his burdens, he notes that Cloud is shown to be a weak person. For Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Cloud was noted by Sakurai to be more normal as well as more expressive. The final scene in which Cloud screams over Zack Fair’s death was the one in which Sakurai worked the most as it left the biggest impression on him.
