Hey there,
I have a friend who wants to learn sword fighting for a movie. (It’s homemade) In the script, she wrote that she had 2 swords to wield. She doesn’t even know how to use 1 let alone 2. She’s a slow learner so I need some tricks, tips and techniques on how to sword fight either 1 or dual. For practice, we are using bamboo sticks. I’ve already tried teaching her once and it was pretty difficult so it needs to be pretty simple for right now. We also can’t afford lessons.

For my part, I have multiple weapons. A sword, a dagger, a knife, and shurikens. I would love to know how to make shurikens (preferably not out of metal, something less deadly) and how to use them.

Costumes are another thing. If anyone has anything ranging from a few tips and directions to patterns-or more!- they would help so much!

How about finding film clips on the web and seeing how it’s done.
If the film is ‘for a good cause ‘or even if its not, try your local fencing club.
