Question by Jennifer: Do movies about interracial relationships make the subject taboo?
Movies like Guess Who and Our Family Wedding. Do they make they subject taboo or perpetuate old fashioned thinking? I think they do because everyone in the movie makes such a big deal about it and people often imitate media “norms”. The media “norm” seems to say interracial relationships and marriages are controversial. Maybe it’s just me because I’m biracial and I’m used to seeing my mom and dad. Any opinions?
