Does anyone know about the movie version of New Moon?

Question by I swear we were infinite: Does anyone know about the movie version of New Moon?
I know that they are in the process of making the second book of the twilight series into a movie, but does anyone know if they are going to stay true to the book? I personally would probably hate that. I couldn’t stand reading New Moon since I’m hugely Team Edward. I found it boring and depressing and slightly annoying having 90% of the book missing my favorite male lead, and since I loved Rob’s portrayal of Edward onscreen I think I’ll be just as annoyed if not more if they do keep the movie the same. Does anyone know anymore information about it? If not, just opinions 😉
Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. Alota Twilight fans out there…lol.. just so everyone knows, thanks so much for the imput! I appreciate everyone’s thoughts. I do realize that New Moon is essential to the entire series plot, it’s just that I found it mostly a drag, that’s all. 🙂 Once again thanks all. BTW–please no answers like “who cares?” Why are you wasting your time reading questions if you just are going to be rude. I care, and alot of other people do too, apprently.
