Ok maybe why Sokka and Katara are white, THEY ARE REALLY FROM THE NORTHERN WATER TRIBE! or there Mother or Father was married into the SWT.
The theory is you can see in the trailers everyone are of Inuit or Native in the South and the North they are White, so maybe Sokka’s and Katara’s Father or Mother are of Northern desent and Gran Gran is from the North because she to is Caucasian, probably why Paku knows her.

And The Fire Nation is so dark skinned because it is fire and involves heat and most likely the fire nation lives in a pretty warm climate and that’s the reason they are dark skinned.
Earth bender are chinese HURRAYand Airbenders (except Aang)
Maybe they specifically wanted a cacausion person to plAY the role was because Aang didn’t look asian at all in the cartoon and he looked like a plain white kid and they wanted someone who resembled him.

So Fire nation is warm climate so dark skinned

water nation is cold climate so white and inuit

Earth nation is asian

Air Nation is asian except Aang

And seriously one more thing I DON’T UNDERSTAND RACEBENDERS! THINK ABOUT IT! THE RACES IN THIS MOVIE IS PERFECTLY LOGICAL IF YOU THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX! I DIDN’T EXPLAIN IT TOO WELL BUT STILL! STOP ASSUMING A MOVIE SUCKS OR IT’S “GAY” BECAUSE OF LITTLE DETAILS BECUASE IN THE END IT’S THE ACTING SKILL AND HOW WELL THE MOVIE WAS THAT COUNTS! AND REMEMBER THIS IS SHAYAMALAN’S OWN POTRAYAL! THIS IS BASED OFF OF THE SERIES SO HE TAKES ELEMENTS FROM THE SHOW AND MAKES IT HIS OWN POTRAYAL. THIS IS BASED OFF OF THE SHOW NOT A REMAKE OF THE SHOW! Feel free to cuss me out.
Oh and stop (bleep)in’ about Zuko he’s fine the way he is even though they could’ve made his scar more visible. I mean would you really want some pale emo lookin’ dude to play zuko? And Patel is a fantastic actor.
