Durable Camera and good Movie Making software?

Question by guess: Durable Camera and good Movie Making software?
I am looking for a durable camera that my kids can use to make movies, and a simple movie making software for movie making (ON PC).

Cheap is good, but quality is good also.

Any suggestions? Please give websites for reference!

With kids in perspective, I think the cam to use are those that write to DVDs. I just did another answer to not recommend DVD camcorders but since your kids are the ones using it, I dont think they would like having to transfer data from miniDV to PC to edit.

For editing, I think the Ulead software for DVD movie makers are probably the easiest to use. They are totally menu driven and dont need too much of a tech background to get started.
