DVD Movie home editing software?

Question by DVM 2010: DVD Movie home editing software?
I’m looking for a software program that I can use at home to edit my own DVD movies to allow viewing of certain movies by younger audiences. I just want to be able to bleep or blank out cussing and remove suggestive scenes. Does anyone make a program like that? And if so, what’s a good one and where can I get it?
Can these programs be used to edit actual movies (like Braveheart, Godfather, Sleepless in Seattle, etc.)? Or are they just for home videos taken on a camera?

windows movie maker comes i think it come with every windows operating system.
