Eurovision 1979 – Denmark

Tommy Seebach performing “Disco Tango”, the Danish entry at the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest. Making the first of his three appearances at the contest (his 1981 partner Debbie Cameron is visibly on backing vocals here), Tommy offers the first disco dynamite of the year, a truly impressive funky number with a SOARING arrangement. Its much-deserved 6th place was Denmark’s best ranking since their 1963 victory – and it’s also worth mentioning that it was our jury’s 12 points! (it also gained full marks from host Israel)
