Gloria (1999)

Fresh off a three-year prison term (she took a fall for her mobster boyfriend), Gloria (Sharon Stone) immediately violates parole and returns to New York City and a bleak future. Desperate and angry, she lashes out, putting to good use the tough education she earned growing up in Hell’s Kitchen. In the process, she accidentally becomes guardian of a stubborn 6-year-old boy, Nicky (Jean-Luke Figueroa), whose family has been wiped out by her criminal consort.
