Good video editing software?

Question by AEIOwnU: Good video editing software?
I have videos I took from a digital camcorder and have the individual files on my computer (mpeg 4 movie files). I was looking to make a short video on something, what would I use to edit out parts of each video, remove the sound from the video to put music over it, etc etc. I was going to use Windows Movie Maker to make my video, does this have something to do this?

windows movie maker is good, but has obvious limits. it isnt really that useful for what you need. try finding a free copy of Sony Vegas Pro 10.. thats what i use and its amazing. i absolutely love it.
