Guxt

Guxt is a vertical shooter from Pixel, the creator of Cave Story. It’s fairly textbook, with nothing out of the ordinary, but it is well-made and fun to play. There’s five levels to it, three of which I’ve been able to get to as the difficulty curve is quite steep. The graphics are notable. Everything appears in monotone blue-grey except enemy projectiles which appear in red. I die in such an embarrassing way in this video. Twice. Please note that the game is 3:4 as opposed to the normal 4:3 resolution, and Movie Maker didn’t like that so stretched it. The game itself looks a lot better than it does in the video.
