according to the live update on wrestlezone.com HBK was selling the injury meaning it was kayfabe and part of the script
i coppied this directly from wretlezone.com

“Then he hoists HBK up for a Batista Bomb. HBK gets dropped to the mat and sells a left knee injury”.
does it sound like a legit injury to you? If he was selling it it sounds like part of the script to me

I read that too and I truly hope it was scripted.
