This way I can clear the HD for more recording of movies, ect… without loosing the stuff all together…

How to do this? Similarly, when I see the media files that I have recorded, they are in file types that cannot be read by typical players, ext types like .atf, .dpd, and others.

Does anyone know what program can read, convert and make these movies and shows readable by PC media players like Media Palyer, RealPlayer or the like, or better still, software that can read and convert the files to a DVD format so I can burn discs and watch via a DVD player?
