I am a Canadian citizen and I would like to sell a script to a movie production company in Hollywood. How would this work? Do I need a US work visa and/or bank account to get paid?

No, you don’t need a visa or US bank account. If someone is willing to buy your script they will pay you by check which you can deposit in your bank or by a wire transfer directly into your bank account. The bank will handle the currency exchange.
