I have to do this 40 minute presentation on depression for my psychology class, does anyone have any creative ideas on how I can incorporate the whole class to get involved in the presenation doing class discussions, showing movie clips, or making the class act out skits.

You could advertise free anti-depressants to all students who clearly make an effort to be involved.

Of course, if they make an effort to be involved, chances are they wouldn’t need the anti-depressants. And of course you couldn’t actually supply them with such. But it would be a joke that might make them pay more attention to your presentation.

Or…

You could sit a person in front of the class, and ask the class to prompt that person to respond to questions of yours in the way a depressed person would respond. This way, you can talk about common misconceptions of what depression is/means.
